Today Almaty hosted the 6th Eurasian Congress on Aesthetic Surgery.BG translation firm provided a simultaneous medical translator interpreter for a company which turned to us in search for a highly specialized translator with medical background for the Eurasian Congress on Aesthetic Surgery.
The translation involved English to Russian and Russian to English simultaneous translation using simultaneous interpretation equipment.
Our company employs highly qualified translators and interpreters that specialize in law, finance and economics, oil and gas, engineering, education and culture, mining, marketing, political science, tourism and sports, television, and medicine.
Therefore, we happily deployed our medical interpreter for this project.
As a rule of thumb, when preparing for such events, we request materials from a client to hand over to an interpreter for thorough preparation.
But this time around the client told us that there was no material whatsoever as the lecturer treated the information strictly confidential.
For this reason, our translator did not have the opportunity to get acquainted with the subject matter of the project and relied strictly on his medical knowledge and experience of simultaneous interpretation, English to Russian and vice versa.
Nevertheless, the simultaneous medical interpreter in Almaty with BG coped with the job and got off with a whole skin.
By the way, the subject of the event was rhinoplasty.
If you are planning a similar event to host overseas guests, we will be happy to assist you and deliver quality simultaneous translation services.
Moreover, we will make sure you get the best client experience at the completion of the event. While working with you, a dedicated coordinator will be helping you throughout the process:
As a bonus, we will give you a photographer , who will make a wonderful photo-report of your event for pleasant memories of the event.
Also, here is a excerpt from the event with our simultaneous translator Yerlan Nanarov in action.
This week our beautiful and incomparable city of Almaty hosted Biocodex Summit for the CIS countries. Bridging the Gaps the translation company in Almaty delivered simultaneous conference interpreting services during the event.
The client turned to our company to find highly qualified interpreters in Almaty that specialized in medical interpreting English to Russian/Kazakh and Russian/Kazakh to English.
The client even requested for the interpreters’ contacts so that they could personally verify their experience and expertise in the subject-matter. This comes as no surprise because medicine is the very kind of subject that not even the tenth well-prepared interpreter can handle. Having contacted our interpreters, the client was convinced of their expertise and competence, and made up her mind to work with us.
Since Bridging the Gaps the translation company incorporates a select group of professional interpreters with medical background that have a good many years of experience in conference interpreting, our medical interpreters Yerlan and Artem were deployed for the project. As expected, our conference interpreters handled the project like a piece of cake.
The summit subject matter was extremely specialized, in particular, the summit discussed “New frontiers in the application of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745.”
Two intensive days of interpretation in simultaneous mode. Our medical interpreters talked about the micro-world – the world of microbes: bacteria, viruses, protozoa, fungi, and other microorganisms that inhabit our body. Just imagine, 90% of cells in the human body are made up of microorganisms and just 10% are our bodily cells. The weight of these microbes, also collectively referred to as the but microbiota, is about 1-2 kg!
That is what our interpreters found themselves confronted with. They had to dive into the world of bacteria to understand it from inside. This amazing world of bacteria – our predecessors that came to life long before the human being..
Bridging the Gaps is pleased to deliver simultaneous conference interpreting services during such events while deploying experienced and highly qualified interpreters.
If you are planning a similar event to host overseas guests, we will be happy to assist you and provide you with quality interpretation services.
At the same time we will make sure you get best client experience throughout the event. While working with you, a dedicated coordinator will be helping you through the process:
Also we will provide you with a professional photographer to do photo-shooting for pleasant memories ?
Oh, by the way, here are some sample interpreting videos by our interpreters.
The Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan turned to us for the simultaneous translation/interpretation services Russian to English and Kazakh to English. The Ministry requested that we organize simultaneous translation for their event in Almaty and invite most experienced simultaneous translators in our country.
Our interpreters in Almaty shared their unforgettable impression during the workshop. It would seem what is so difficult about IT? This is no medicine, no oil & gas, no mining.
Little did they know that was not the case with this event. The challenge was when speakers spoke technical jargon in the information and communication technology field. For instance, they talked about broadband, mobile broadband, fixed-line broadband, the IDI index , and various technical parameters of fiber-optic conductivity.
To top it off, the speakers began to talk about various mathematical calculations in statistics using weighting coefficients. It would get intense at times!
But our translators had come prepared. The took sufficient time to brush up on the subject-matter and took the event seriously as they always do. Therefore, our English to Russian translators coped with the job with flying colors.
By the way, one of our simultaneous translators happens to have excellent command of Kazakh. As such, he occasionally has to perform the role of Kazakh/Qazaq to English and English to Kazakh/Qazaq translator/interpreter.
It so happens often times that some in the audience choose to speak Qazaq as their primary means of communication since Qazaq is the official state language in Qazaqstan. And it is no secret to many that there are very few Qazaq to English translators in Qazaqstan. But that is a different topic in itself.
Back to our story. The Ministry was extremely pleased with the quality simultaneous translation that was delivered by our translators during the workshop.
At the end of the event, representatives with the presidium extended their gratitude to our Russian English translators for such a high-quality translation.
The team of BG is once again glad and proud to take part in such an interesting event. We, too, extend our gratitude to the Ministry of Information and Communications for the trust in delivering the event with simultaneous translation.

This week a team of conference interpreters of Russian and Kazakh by the translation company in Astana “Bridging the gaps” flew to Almaty and organized a workshop on tourism development in Almaty.
In order to make this event a success we pulled together a strong team of conference interpreter or simultaneous interpreters. Our interpreter Yerlan Nanarov who also happens to be the interpreter of Kazakh, flew to the workshop in Almaty and teamed up with his interpreting partner Artem.
Our team also provided this workshop with conference equipment for simultaneous interpretation. Headphones, interpreters’ booth, interpreter’s desk, receivers, central equipment, as many infrared sensors with headsets as needed, central control/display unit, transmitter, sending transducer, speakers.
This equipment is essential during such events for conference interpreters to do their job properly.
The event was hosted by the Department of Tourism and International Relations of Almaty. The Department invited a famous professor from New York, Ph.D. Lynn Minnaert who specialized in social tourism. During the workshop she talked about “Social tourism: a potential policy to reduce social exclusion?”
Professor Lynn Minnaert did an excellent job of delivering the message to the audience, though at times it was quite a challenge to keep up with her pace. It is obvious to those in the know and not so obvious to many that conference interpretation requires of speakers to go on an average pace in order to effectively convey the speakers’ message to the audience.
As the event went on, professor Lynn Minnaert and our interpreters got on the same page in terms of pacing and non-verbal communication:-) As such, they made a great team with regard to getting the message across.
It is worth mentioning that occasionally people in the audience like to speak Kazakh as the official state language. Our translation company accounts for such scenario too. This is why we flew Yerlan to cover this occasion when he needs to interpret Kazakh to English and English to Kazakh.
The workshop was held at the Kazakh National University named after Al Farabi. Professors and doctors of such a well-known university had the opportunity to learn the general state of the tourism industry around the globe, the specifics of tourism development in Almaty as well as state-of-the-art research techniques in the tourism industry.
The audience was extremely pleased with this workshop in general and the professor and her extensive knowledge and expertise in particular.
Moreover, the audience was very much happy with the interpretation quality by our simultaneous interpreters. Some of them even went up to the interpreters and shook hands with our interpreters.
Well! We are very much delighted to see our customers satisfied.
Because we love what we do and love our customers!
And now we would like to share with you a photo gallery from the event. Pleasant viewing!
If you are planning an event in Kazakhstan and need conference interpretation services, feel free to shoot us an email and ask any questions.
We have dedicated coordinators who will respond to client needs promptly and on an ongoing basis.
The coordinators will:
We will also send you a professional photographer who will be photo-shooting during the event and come up with a photo-report to share with you for pleasant memories 🙂
We are there to help you!
This week, a large US pharmaceutical company turned to our translation agency so that our company could provide a consecutive interpreter in Astana.
Initially, the company intended to invite simultaneous interpreters for the event, but due to organizational difficulties it was deemed unpractical at the last minute of preparation for the event. And we decided to limit ourselves to the services of an consecutive interpreter of our company.
This was complicated by the fact that simultaneous interpretation required simultaneous interpretation equipment – headphones with infrared sensors incorporated, interpreter’s booth, interpretr’s desk among other things. Since there was little time remaining, the decision was simple – contact us.
Since the pharmaceutical industry is all about medicine, we invited our medical interpreter to render the service.
Our translation agency provides not only general interpreters, but also those who specialize by field. In addition to basic interpreting degree, they also earned their second degree in the field they specialize, e.g. medicine, engineering, or law.
This is why the client chose to work with our translation agency in Astana and Almaty. Our medical interpreter Yerlan, by the way, astonished the client with his profound knowledge of the subject matter, namely, ophthalmology. Yerlan told the audience during the interpreting process what kind of nystagmus may occur when the anterior, lateral, or posterior semicircular canal of the bony labyrinth of the cochlear apparatus is affected.
This, indeed, takes your breath away! To know how the human organs function, what their structure is like, know what pathology arise when one or the other part of these organs is affected. Ah, what a feeling to be a connoisseur of everything and anything in the universe!?How ridiculous does it sound! It is for a reason, scientia potentia est.
And now back to our project. The client was extremely pleased with our interpreter and promised to seek our services in 2018 for a good number of events. God bless our clients!
If you plan to hold an event hosting foreign guests, speakers, delegates, and need the interpretation services, please do not hesitate to contact us. We strive to provide the best client experience. In doing so we provide the most experienced and top-notch experts in the field – the interpreting craftsmen. We guarantee quality interpretation.
In addition, we will provide you with high-quality simultaneous interpretation equipment of the german make Bosch: microphones, interpreter’s booth, headphones, and everything you need.
As well as implement turn-key projects for you. Shoot us an email and we will get back with you promptly.
In doing so, we will provide quality service throughout the event. You will be supervised by a dedicated coordinator who will:
As a bonus, we will provide you with photographer who will make a breathtaking photo-report at your event for pleasant memories 🙂
In the meantime, enjoy the slideshow 🙂
Our simultaneous translators in Almaty rendered translation/interpretation English to Russian and Russian to English, as well as transcription of audio recordings into text.
In the previous post we mentioned our client requested us to provide with simultaneous translators in Astana.
It turned out that the client needed simultaneous translators in the south capital of our nation, Almaty. So we had to deploy our translators in Almaty.
The event took place on weekends. And BG interpreters had no problem with that – they were delighted to meet the challenge. And it was worth it since the event subject matter was inclusive education.
Nowadays, Kazakhstan by achieving the goals of inclusive education strives to provide citizens with special educational needs in development with required facility to receive education, recover from developmental disabilities and ensure social adaptation. Inclusive education enables every child to fulfil her/his potential and exercise the right to receive education.
This subject matter is very relevant to Kazakhstan, so our highly qualified simultaneous translators consented readily to interpret during this event and provided quality interpretation services English to Russian and vice versa.
Moreover, our transcribing expert flew from Astana all the way to Almaty. Since the same event took place in two cities, we checked with the client and made a joint decision to fly the same transcription expert to Almaty so to ensure continuity in the service. The decision was made based on the fact that one expert does a better job of reconciling two meetings minutes and will be consistent in delivering the message on paper instead of two experts in two different locations trying to reconcile what was said by whom and when.
It was quite fascinating two days of the event in a quiet and pleasant setting. Translators interpreted the foreign speakers while the latter talked about the very pressing issue in Kazakhstan.
If you are looking for simultaneous translators in Almaty, Astana or any part of Kazakhstan English to Russian or English to Kazakh, we will be happy to provide you with highly qualified and experienced translators.
In doing so, we will provide quality service throughout the event. You will be supervised by a dedicated coordinator who will:
As a bonus, we will provide you with photographer who will make a wonderful photo-report of your event for pleasant memories ?
As always, wish you pleasant viewing the pictures from the event 🙂
In addition to interpretation services, the translation agency in Astana “Bridging the Gaps” provides all the services listed below:

Last week, our translation company Bridging the Gaps had the opportunity to provide simultaneous interpretation services for the Soros-Kazakhstan Charitable Foundation.
One of the strongest translators of Kazakhstan, Tatiana and Olzhas, who brilliantly, with flying colors, rendered simultaneous interpretation services English to Russian and Russian to English
Interpreters of our company rendered the highest quality and professional simultaneous interpretation services. Our client – Soros-Kazakhstan – was extremely pleased with the quality and professionalism of our simultaneous interpreters.
It could not have been otherwise, because Bridging the Gaps the translation agency goes through a through translators selection process and cooperates with highly qualified translators and interpreters.
It stands to mention the client requested our company render not only simultaneous interpretation services, but also transcription services (shorthand services).
The essence of transcription is the translation of spoken language into written text. First, the speech of the speakers is recorded on the recorder, then this speech is transferred to paper. This work requires a high degree of diligence and scrupulousness, along with high professional training as an simultaneous interpreter.
In Kazakhstan, these services are rarely available whereas in advanced nations they are in great demand.
Fortunately, our translation agency has such a specialist too who, in turn, brilliantly coped with his task.
We are once again happy to hold the event and make it a success!
If you need oral translators for foreign language, we will be happy to provide you with highly qualified and experienced translators.
Should you have any queries with regard to interpretation cost, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service representative. We will be happy to help you anytime of the day!

The Center for Translations in Astana Bridging the Gaps provided a top-notch consecutive interpreter for the international accreditation of the National Cardiac Surgery Center in Astana.
Our loyal customer in the name of the National Cardiac Surgery Center once again turned to our translation center so that we send our consecutive medical interpreter for translation during the international accreditation of the National Cardiac Surgery Center.
The National Cardiac Surgery Center was accredited as the only center in the world, with the exception of the United States, which performs heart transplantation and blood circulation mechanical support.
The Joint International Commission staff (JCI) admitted that the National Cardiac Surgery Center is the first in the history of the JCI center to apply for accreditation in such highly specialized areas.
Yes, you heard it right. Our cardiac surgeons are the best! They advance by leaps and bounds, ahead of the curve. Isn’t it the reason to rejoice over our medicine and the doctors who advance it!
On behalf of our translation center, we would like to express special thanks and obeisance to Yuri Vladimirovich Pyа – a man with a big name – for his invaluable contribution to the development of national cardiac surgery. We would also like to thank Mahabbat Sansyzbaevna and Gulmira Sabdenbekovna as well as the whole team at the cardiac surgery center for their work. We bow low to you!
By the way, they passed the accreditation with flying colors. It could not have been otherwise.
It should be noted that effective consecutive interpretation is key to effective communication. Our translators are not only professionals in translation and interpretation, they also know the specifics of the field in which they translate or translate. Therefore, the contribution of a good interpreter to the success of the event as a whole, and effective communication in particular, cannot be overstated.
We, on the other hand, the team of translators and BG employees, are pleased to once again become a part of such a small victory in our medicine.
If you need world class interpreters in Astana, Almaty or any place in Kazakhstan, please do not hesitate to contact our translation center! We will be more than happy to assist you.
And now enjoy the photos 🙂
Medical interpreter by the Bridging the Gaps Translation Center in at a large-scale medical conference in Almaty.
The month of September was marked with another significant event in the life of the medical community in Kazakhstan. The regular V International Congress Central Asian Gastroenterological Week-2017 was held in Almaty.
For four years back-to-back, our conference interpreter named Yerlan gets invited to render spoken translation services at this event. This is because Yerlan has unique set of skills both in conference interpreting and medical sciences.
Three intense days of medical translation. The most exciting moments of the translation, and extremely difficult, when a spoken translator has to overextend himself to understand what is it that is being conveyed to the audience, when the sound from the microphone is full of interfering noises, the acoustics is not there, the speaker’s English is not quiet good.
And sometimes two speakers deliver speech back-to-back, and the client wants one interpreter to do the translation for whatever reason.
So our interpreter sometimes had to interpret for an hour and a half without a pause. And it is no secret simultaneous translators routinely alternate every 20 minutes.
But the BG translation agency’s interpeters are so experienced that the medical interpreter was ready for the challenge and brilliantly coped with the task in specialized medical translation English to Russian and Russian to English.
The BG translation agency has translators with medical background. When there are medical conferences, our interpreters are there to do the job. And this greatly contributes to the success of such events.
If you are planning an event and you need highly qualified medical translators, we will be happy to help you!
Should you have any questions, please let us know.
And now enjoy the pictures 🙂
Our loyal customer in interpretation in Almaty has requested that we provide medical interpreter English to Russian and vice versa.
This event – the presentation of the new medication – took place in two cities – Almaty and Astana. As a matter of course, the team BG deployed our medical interpreter, a physician to fulfill this pleasant mission.
The workshop was on neuropathic pain and its treatment. A world-renown professor from Turkey was invited to talk about the new medication. He spoke about his experience in the treatment of neuropathic pain and application of a very effective drug.
The audience listened very attentively to the lecturer, the students asked a lot of questions.
Language translation this time took the form of consecutive interpreting from English into Russian and vice versa.
With regard to consecutive interpretation, it is often said this format of interpretation is easier than simultenaous interpretation. This iis true, but to a certain extent. To the extent that the translator has not learned how to do simultaneous interpretation.
If you ask current interpreters what kind of interpretation is more complicated, you can often hear the response consecutive one. Often they attribute this to the need to memorize words and sentences as long as the speaker continues to deliver his/her speech. And often the speaker tends to forget there is an interpreter who needs to remember what was said and convey the message in another language. On the other hand, during conference interpreting or simulteneous interpreting one does not to do that, the interpreter only translates phrase by phrase.
It appears if the current interpreters think so, there must be something to it.
So the medical translator provided by the translation agency BG in Astana and Almaty did his job with flying colors!
If you happen to need a highly qualified medical interpreter, we will be more that happy to assist you.
Just give us a call.

This week a team of translators of the translation agency in Astana “Bridging the gaps” flew to Almaty and organized a seminar on the tourism development in Almaty.
In order to successfully conduct this event our team provided the strongest simultaneous interpreters. Our translator Yerlan flew to the seminar in Almaty and teamed up with his partner.
Our team also provided this seminar with equipment for simultaneous interpretation. Headphones, interpreters’ cabins, receivers, central equipment, microphones – that’s what is inconceivable without the carrying out of any event with the participation of spoken simultaneous translators.
The organizer of this event was the “Department of Tourism and External Relations of Almaty”. The Office invited a famous professor from New York, Ph.D. Lynn Minnaert who specializes in “Social tourism: a potential policy to reduce social exclusion?”
The seminar was held at the Kazakh National University named after Al Farabi. The professors and doctors of such a well-known university had an opportunity to learn the general state of the tourism industry around the world, the specifics of tourism development in Almaty and the most innovative methods of research in the tourism field.
The audience was extremely pleased with this seminar.
Moreover, the audience was very much happy with the translation quality by our simultaneous interpreters. Some of them even went up to the translators and shook hands with our translator Yerlan.
Well! We, on our end, are delighted to see our customers satisfied.
Because we love what we do and love our customers!
And now we bring to your attention a photo gallery from the event. Pleasant viewing!

BG team provided medical simultaneous translators in Astana at the VII Eurasian Radiological Forum took place on October the 10th -12th , 2017.
The primary objective of the forum was to discuss pressing issues of radiology, development of radiology and nuclear medicine services in Kazakhstan and new techniques in imaging diagnosis. Specific attention was brought to enhancing effectiveness in diagnosing socially significant disease (cardiac and vascular abnormality, pulmonary tuberculosis, breast cancer, musculoskeletal diseases osteoporosis and radiation safety).
This forum was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the legendary Kazakh academician Khamzabayev Zhangali Khamzabayevich and the 40th anniversary of the Kazakh Radiological Society.
The event was marked with speech by the Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Aktayeva, the President of the Kazakh Radiological Society Raushan Rakhimzhanova, the Senior Specialist in imaging diagnosis of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the member of the European Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Radiology, member of the Radiological Society of North America, Vice-President of the European School of Radiologists in Astana Dautov Tairkhan Bekpolatovich as well as well-known radiologists from Korea, China, Austria, the Switzerland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, and others.
Also, the forum hosted a symposium of friendship between the Korean and Kazakh Radiological Society for cardiothoracic imaging during which Kazakh and Korean experts shared their invaluable experience.
This time around the BG company acted as a provider of equipment rental services and conference services and simultaneous interpretation services.
Our team provided everything necessary for the event, specifically the simultaneous interpretation equipment (interpreter’s desk, interpretation desk, interpreter booth, engineer), receivers, desk microphones, slide projector with screen, sound amplification (speakers), speaker’s stand.
The BG company also provided spoken simultaneous interpreters in Astana in the English-Russian language pair.
During the 2 days of the forum, about 44 speakers gave talk. One can imagine what the pace of work was and at what speed the speakers had to talk to share their multiple years of experience within just 15 minutes.
And this meant some strain on our medical translators. But it was all the same for our interpreters. BG translators have seen much more.
During the event, the simultaneous interpretation equipment worked smoothly and like clockwork. The peculiarity of the forum was that this time around the client requested to install euro-booth for the interpreters (a fully enclosed booth) and not a desk booth, as was the case at previous forums. The interpreter’s booth provided complete sound and noise insulation for interpreters and the audience.
The BG team was pleased to act as a partner in holding such an important event in the professional life of Kazakhstani and foreign radiologists.
And the most important thing is the satisfaction and gratitude of our client. As the President of the Kazakh Radiological Society Raushan Ibzhanovna Rakhimzhanova put it: «This is the first time that we had such a high level of simultaneous translation and setting up equipment for simultaneous translation. I want to thank you for the excellent work!»
Number of participants: 300 people.
Number of simultaneous translators Astana: 2.
The equipment involved: simultaneous interpretation equipment (interpreter’s desk, interpretation desk, interpreter booth, engineer), receivers, desk microphones, slide projector with screen, sound amplification (speakers), speaker’s stand).
BG medical interpreter was invited to do simultaneous interpreting/conference interpreting in Almaty at an international conference on the 6th -7th October 2017.
Our translator had to fly from Astana to Almaty in order to render simultaneous translation services English to Russian and vice versa.
Our medical interpreter translated the eminent professor Nuri Ozgirgin at the conference. The professor flew all over from Turkey. He is a Professor at the “Bayandyr” Hospital in Ankara, ENT Department, President of EAONO – the European Association of Otology and Neurotology.
The professor introduced to audience international practices and “New horizons in diagnosis and management of Benign Paroxysmal Vestibular Vertigo” (BPPV).
Yerlan did two types of translation. During the morning session, the professor gave a talk, during which our translator did consecutive interpreting/spoken translation English to Russian.
After lunch, the professor continued to speak, but this time around it was En-Ru simultaneous translation that Yerlan had to handle.
The particularity of this event was that Yerlan had to translate synchronously on his own for 2 hours in a row. It is commonly known that simultaneous interpreting is carried out by at least two conference interpreters when they translate speakers for 15-20 minutes in the alternate mode.
But the customer insisted that it had to be just one translator. Why? you might wonder. This is because two interpreters’ knowledge base in a particular subject matter may differ greatly. The customer was guided precisely by this consideration in his urgency.
And since Yerlan had medical background (medical interpreter), the client went right for him.
And the BG team on its end is happy to help our clients with simultaneous interpretation not only in Astana and Almaty, but also in other cities of our beautiful homeland!
The first Kazakh Social Workers Forum took place in Astana on September the 21st and 22nd, 2017.
The Forum primarily aimed at building on the experience of social workers in protecting the population from social hardships and determining fundamental dimensions of the industry, strengthening and recognizing the role and contribution of social workers in today’s society.
The Forum embraced over 2 000 participants, including international experts from Great Britain, Serbia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Georgia. The event welcomed representatives with the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the Government of Kazakhstan, central and local executive bodies, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.
Practitioners, scientists, public and political figures from around the world had the opportunity to discuss and find ways to enhance social workers’ competences and authority. In doing so, they took into account the particularities of remote areas, paid much attention to state-of-the-art technology to render professional assistance to people with disabilities, elderly, homeless, victims of domestic violence, and human traffic victims.
The forum touched upon the experience and prospects for advancing social work in the penitentiary system and health care sector, as well as new mechanisms and opportunities for interdepartmental and intersectoral cooperation in implementing the social policy.
The BG team did not stand aside and were actively engaged in delivering best service possible when it came to rendering consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services at this much significant social event in Kazakhstan.
As part of Forum activities, our spoken translators went to the so called Crisis Centers for social services, the Center that provided shelter to those who found themselves in a difficult position due to violence or threat of violence. Our translators interpreted for international experts and ensured smooth communication English to Russian and Russian to English.
Our team also did simultaneous translation in the Congress Center and Palace of Independence at the plenary session of the Forum.
Our interpreters simultaneously translated such prominent personalities as the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova, the Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova, the Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in the Republic of Kazakhstan Norimas Shimomur and representatives with the Government and the Majilis of the Parliament.
The client was extremely pleased with quality translation our translators group provided. Bridging the Gaps team is very much proud to become part of such a significant event in the country!
Number of participants at the Forum over 2k .
Number of spoken consecutive and simultaneous translators involved 10 translators.
BG medical interpreters rendered spoken interpretation services during the JCI accreditation (Joint Commission International) of the National Cardiac Surgery Research Center in Astana.
The accreditation was carried out September the 18th through September the 22nd , 2017 in Astana.
Medical interpreters Mariya, Dina and Yerlan translated consecutively English to Russian and Russian to English during the accreditation.
The client was very pleased with the spoken interpreters. The client pointed out that during the first accreditation back in 2014 they were presented with no-so-good interpreting. It was difficult for staff to understand what the surveyors really meant during their interviews. This time around there was clear understanding of what the surveyors had in mind, explaining some of the requirements of the JCI standards. And this all thanks to the quality and experience of our medical translators we have in Astana.
For example, the medical interpreter Mariya translated at accreditations of healthcare organizations by JCI standards eight times in a row.
Medical interpreter Yerlan translated during the accreditation of healthcare organizations by JCI standards for the eleventh time.
Medical interpreter Dina once worked on developing and implementing healthcare accreditation standards.
Such a makeup of spoken medical translators was the very success formula for the event to go smoothly with translation.
The topic of this event was medical and administrative.
Areas covered during the accreditation included:
Section I. Standards related to patients:
Section II. Standards management of medical organization:
Incidentally, the Cardiosurgical Center passed the accreditation with flying colors and deservedly received the gold standard of quality and patient safety. Way to go!

Agro-industrial Investment Forum “Agroinvest 2017” took place in Astana, where our Chinese spoken translators/simultaneous interpreters Zurash and Yerlan splendidly interpreted Chinese to Russian and Russian to Chinese.
Our interpreters rendered spoken simultaneous interpretation services for Kazakhstani and foreign experts in the agricultural sector.
One very interesting point. Initially, they planned that when English speakers give talk, there would be translation from English to Russian and vice versa. Our translators were supposed to translate from Russian to Chinese using the relay method. But it turned out that there were no English translators at the forum.
The speakers spoke English. Fortunately, our translator Yerlan happens to be English-Russian interpreter. Thus, it was no problem for him to translate directly from English to Chinese. What a surprise it was, and delight at the same time for the client when Yerlan was able to replace two translators. When it comes to Yerlan, it was just another valuable experience.
The customer was very pleased with the quality translation and the fact that the event was a great success.
More than 30 projects were brought by Kazakhstani entrepreneurs to the “AgroInvest Forum 2017”. They plan to implement the projects powered by the foreign investors. 200 people in total from 18 countries took part in the forum, including about 40 representatives with large investment funds and financial organizations. A number of important contracts, agreements and memoranda were signed as a result of the meetings.
In addition, the Forum gave an opportunity to get acquainted with the Kazakh agricultural products within the framework of the exposition, as well as taste dishes from high-quality Kazakh products during lunch.
Translators of Kazakhstan gathered in Astana to do simultaneous translation at the 27th Congress of the World Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons 2017.
September the 1-3, 2017 was marked by a historic event in the Kazakhstan’s medical community. The 27th Congress of the World Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (WSCTS) was carried out in Astana, Kazakhstan.
BG team did not stand aside and provided this event with high-quality simultaneous interpreting services.
The BG made up a team of the strongest spoken translators English-Russian and Russian-English in Kazakhstan, including medical spoken translators.
Simultaneous interpretation was provided by our translators in the following five main sections:
This event was the largest for our company, since it was not an easy job to build a team of 16 simultaneous interpreters/conference interpreters in Kazakhstan at a single event and thoroughly coordinate their work. Nevertheless, the team BG has coped with its task with flying colors.
We have also come up a team of 4 people to ensure the smooth work of our interpreters at the Congress.
We called them assistants. Throughout the event, the assistants provided technical support to the spoken translators. They collected presentations of speakers for preliminary familiarization by translators immediately before the presentation delivery, checked serviceability of the equipment, availability of all the necessary translators in a booth, among other things.
The Congress of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons was carried out at the highest level. The BG team was pleased to be part of this monumental event in Kazakhstan.
Our spoken translators in Astana successfully rendered quality translation services during JCI accreditation of the National Children’s Rehabilitation Center.
The accreditation took place between 7th and 10th August 2017. During the survey our lovely interpreters Sofiya and Eric accompanied their respective surveyors and helped ensure effective communication between the latter and the Center staff. The purpose of the survey was to determine to which extent the Center is compliant to the Joint Commission International standards – the standards for healthcare organizations across the globe to ensure quality care and patient safety.
Sofiya followed Dr. Nathan from the USA who mainly focused on facility safety standards. On their way around the Center facility Sofiya despite her femininity got easily on the roof of a building to see if the standards are followed there 🙂 Who knew how far this would take Sofiya! But she came prepared 😉
In the meantime, Eric followed Dr. Anna Miranda from Brazil and was mainly involved doing clinical standards.
What an amazing week! Not just for the Center staff and surveyors, but also the interpreters.
BTW, the National Children’s Rehabilitation Center passed the accreditation with ease. This was the Center’s second accreditation. The first one was back in 2014. Once again the Center proved to earn the title of the only JCI accredited children’s rehab centers in Central Asia.
We – the BG team – would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Center’s team and leadership with another victory. Way to go!
